What is it?

I created TheyAreRising.com as a platform to promote my novel "Rise of the Vampyre".

Having previously tried to have my book published via a publishing firm, I had no luck whatsoever - perhaps I didn't persevere as much as I could have. In any case I decided to make the website - and here it is.

I released each chapter periodically, depending on how many visits the site received. The idea was been that people would promote the book to their friends, family etc in a bid to speed up the release of the next chapter and in turn helping me raise my own profile. I obviously wanted people to enjoy the book as well. As much as marketing and eventual success as an author are important to me, I've enjoyed - far more - the idea that people from around the world are reading my material and coming back to read more.

For that reason, I'd be glad to hear what other people think of the book, and welcome any opinion whether it be blissful praise or soul shattering criticism. I can be contacted at comments@theyarerising.com.

"Rise of the Vampyre" is the first novel I've ever written. I have continued writing since and am currently working on a third, although all three books are unconnected. I am considering putting up my next book, but am basing this decision purely on the success of this book as a website.
