08 November '08 - Visits Increasing!

The entire books been online for a while now and it seems to be getting much more visits. The last two months have been the most successful so far. Thanks to everyone who's promoted the site and remember to recommend the book to your friends/family!

I'm taking the counter down now, since it's served its purpose.

02 September '08 - The Last Chapters

Just a short message to let people know that once we reach 900 visits, the entire novel will be online. (There's only one chapter and an epilogue to go). So, please, keep reading and making people aware of the site.

23 June '08 - The Halfway Point & Some Stats

We're round about halfway through the novel now. So after chapter nine goes up it will be a straight 100 visitors per chapter.

As was mentioned before; the site only measures unique visitors - which means that (excluding myself and the occasional repeat visit from an alternate IP address) around 400 separate people have visited the site! [fanfare]

Since it was launched in April, we've had over 1000 non-unique visits and nearly 5000 page views, which is far more than I'd ever expected.

Now that the target is becoming a standard 100 visits per chapter, I'd (as always) like to encourage you all to continue publicising the website as much as possible. If you can't publicise it or don't want to, then at least e-mail me to tell me what you think! comments@theyarerising.com Any kind of input is most welcome!

02 June '08 - New Chapter, New Target

So the next chapter is up. You should have spotted that rather than the usual target of 50 visitors, I'm now looking for 100. So to speed up chapter eight's release; send e-mails to anyone you think would be interested. Become a fan on Bebo/MySpace/Facebook and other people will see that you've joined and hopefully follow suit. Set your screen name to the web address. Anything you can to get more visitors in.

Any comments regarding the novel would also be well appreciated. I have had none at all so far, so if you're worried I won't read them, then you're sorely mistaken: I'm dying to know what everyone else thinks!

Other than, that I'd like to thank everyone whose visited so far and give extra thanks to those who have publicised the site in any capacity. Remember the chapters are already written, the only thing stopping their release is the hit counter, so get the word out there.

26 May '08 - New Look

The new look website has been uploaded, as you can hopefully see. I changed the layout to improve accessibility - it should now work on every major (modern) browser - and to pave the way for some added functionality that I'm still working out. As well as looking better, there's now an updates page (your reading it right now) where I can keep you posted on new additions to the website. Aside from that, it's all the same stuff. For those of you who are nostalgic or just plain scared of change, the original layout can be accessed from the 'Links' section. Enjoy!
